Lola & Giuseppe's Trattoria
About This Spot
Stepping into Lola & Giuseppe's Trattoria feels like entering a cherished Italian neighborhood gem where warmth comes as naturally as the inviting aromas that fill the air. Nestled on a cozy corner of Granville Street in Columbus, this intimate trattoria offers a mellow, unhurried pace—a place where conversations flow freely, and every visit carries the comfort of a home-cooked meal shared among friends.
The space is thoughtfully designed to reflect a genuine sense of hospitality, with an atmosphere that balances quiet charm and heartfelt conviviality. Whether seated inside or on the quietly pleasant patio, diners find themselves enveloped in an environment that encourages connection—between the palette, the table, and the people who gather around it.
The culinary experience here is a journey through rustic Italian tradition, where each dish tells a story crafted with care and simple, fresh ingredients. From the first bite of a crisp bruschetta or the gentle embrace of a velvety Caesar salad, to the lingering sweetness of a homemade tiramisu or cannoli, there’s a tangible reverence for authenticity in every course. The flavors aren’t rushed, much like the tempo of the place itself, inviting you to savor not just the food, but the moments that accompany it.
Patrons often remark on the seamless and sincere service that enhances the welcoming vibe—attentive without intrusion, friendly yet respectful. Conversations with the staff feel like exchanges with familiar faces, adding a personal layer to the evening that goes beyond the plate. And while it remains a modest-sized spot, the energy feels expansive in the quiet confidence of a well-loved neighborhood trattoria.
For those seeking a taste of Italy without pretense, where the magic is as much in the shared experience as in the meal itself, Lola & Giuseppe's offers a quietly joyful discovery, a place that feels like a treasured secret you want to return to again and again.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about this place! It's smaller but cozy and still nice! Definitely a mom and pop restaurant which we liked! The Pasta Fritta appetizer was fantastic. The Ceasar Salad top tier. You could tell the dressing was homemade and fresh! For the main entrees we got the Guiseppe's Trio Platter and the Chicken Marsala. When I tell you, we ate until our stomachs almost exploded, we did lol! We didn't have room for dessert. Our waitress was great...I forget her name, maybe Bethany? And the manager or owner came back to ask how our experience was and he was super sweet. If you are looking for a great Italian spot to enjoy with your partner or friends, you will not go wrong visiting this restaurant! Make a reservation otherwise you likely won't get in...they are busy from open to close...and for good reason. We will be back!

It was exceptional! The food was so amazing..just melts in your mouth. Ultimately the best meal we have ever had! Our waitress was wonderful! Loved how small the restaurant was. Can see why they are so busy and need reservation! We were beyond impressed and will absolutely 100% be back!

We came from Chillicothe Ohio we were an hour early and walked in and they told us they could seat us on the patio immediately or we could wait the hour to sit inside we choose the patio! It was quiet and decorated very nicely! Staff was beyond polite and easy to have conversations with! Our waitress was Hannah and she was such a delight! We tried the shrimp scampi special and it was beyond delicious and filling. We also got a cannoli and it was superb! Def recommend and will be making more visits soon!

It began with the atmosphere. It's a small area but very welcoming and nicely decorated. The reviews show that you need a reservation and I see why! The servers were very accommodating with taking my Togo order. (The website didn't allow me to place an order with them being so busy). Now, a 20-25 min wait. I stopped into the bakery and tried the cherry pastry. It was amazing! I got the lasagna and 4 meatballs. I do recommend at least 2x the sauce if you like it. The taste wasn't the best, however it was very delicious. The lasagna was great as well. I can say that I will be back.

Impeccable. I just moved to the area, my friends eat here weekly, and I see why. Easily some of the best Italian I’ve ever had, it was just amazing. I cannot wait to be back to try more of the menu. Everyone was so nice and service was great. Say hi to Steve!

I was so impressed with this little restaurant!! I heard about them through TikTok and the food did not disappoint. It’s a little place - definitely make a reservation. But they also have a little patio. You can tell this place cares about the details. The owner walks around, greets, helps, and is just a delight. Our waitress Chris was awesome, just overall great service. The food was phenomenal, possibly best Italian I’ve ever had. 100000% I’ll be back and recommend to anyone.

Lola & Giuseppe’s is a Solid 5 in my book. The dishes are amazingly flavorful and generous. The onion soup is a twist on any other onion soup I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is casual but intimate. The staff is friendly and responsive. The owner stopped by the table to chat with us for a moment.
